Birchwood School Combine World Book Day With Eisteddfod Celebrations

Birchwood School recently combined World Book Day celebrations with their annual Eisteddfod, making for a fun day of creativity and literacy!

This year’s World Book Day theme focused on the works of Roald Dahl, with each class being assigned a different book and hosting activities inspired by their story. Even the management team got involved, embracing a Willy Wonka theme and working with pupils to create chocolate Welsh love spoons and Wonka bars. A free book station was also set up, encouraging pupils to take books home and develop their love for reading.

The afternoon saw the Eisteddfod competitions take place, with pupils showcasing their talents in art, literacy, and baking. A huge congratulations to AH for winning the baking competition, OF for their incredible artwork, and TS for their outstanding literacy entry!
