Ty Bronllys

Ty Bronllys is a specialist residential setting for young people with Autism for ages 8-19yrs.

The residential home is located in a picturesque setting in the small village of Bronllys, 7 miles outside of Brecon in the county of Powys. Our primary aim is to promote a safe, secure homely environment that encourages independence, individuality, confidence and self-esteem.

The home prides itself in having a strong multidisciplinary ethos with excellent relationships with our in house clinical team and the wider community including the local police officer. The approach within the home is that of positive behaviour support and active support. This encourages the young people to develop person centred skills and abilities to promote their independent living skills as well as developing a community presence.

The home ensures regular engagement occurs with families, friends and advocates throughout and supports the young people to develop and maintain relationships that are important to them.

Following a referral a comprehensive assessment is completed by the multi-disciplinary team to identify areas of need, on arrival to Ty Bronllys every young person will have a risk assessment and behaviour management plan that enables them to take risks in a considered way and improve their quality of life.
