The service was opened in 2014 when the building was converted from a 28-room facility to a service with 10 large en-suite rooms, lots of communal spaces, laundry facilities and kitchens. It also has plenty of outdoor space, including allotments, a summer house and chicken coops.

The home offers an award-winning model of care and support, and is looking for dedicated and hard-working support staff to help our residents to develop skills, to progress in their independence and to engage in and enjoy a range of on and off-site activities with full support.


This role requires you to support adults in a range of on and off site activities ensuring that all duties are carried out to a high standard. Our residents require support for all aspects of their day to day lives, including excursions and off-site trips to the beach, to activity and sports centres, museums, art galleries, shopping and so on.
You will need to be an excellent team member, as you will work closely alongside colleagues, including the Registered Manager and the clinical team.
You will also be required to provide written reports on a daily basis and be involved in the development and implementation of placement and support plans.
As a support worker you will follow a 24-hour, 365 day rota according to the needs of the children, young people and the service. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week with flexibility.


Whilst it would be desirable for candidates to have an NVQ or QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care this is not essential.
Prior experience within the healthcare sector would also be desirable but not essential as every successful candidate will be given a comprehensive induction and training.
