Bangeston Autism Care Services is an autism accredited, residential care company based in Pembrokeshire for young adults on the autistic spectrum. Established in 1994, Bangeston Autism Care Services (formerly Bangeston Hall) is the largest residential, Autism Accredited, care and resource centre in Wales providing tailored, long-term solutions for young adults with autistic spectrum disorders, including Asperger syndrome. Bangeston Hall is situated in seven acres of tranquil, leafy grounds just outside the town of Pembroke Dock – near enough to the shops but with plenty of room to breathe!

There’s also a choice of different types of quality accommodation available:

» The Main House and Lodge which offer both shared space and more private living arrangements

» The Cottage with its more homely, cosy and quiet feel

We also have a number of ‘satellite’ properties:

»Stockwell Road, situated close to Pembroke Dock town centre

»Rosendale Park in Lydstep

»The Old Manse, Freystrop

We are currently recruiting for a full time chef to join our catering team at Bangeston Hall. The role will require you to prepare meals for the young people and staff whilst ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.


Main Responsibilities will include:

»To ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

»To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious meal within a controlled hygienic environment

»To store, prepare and serve food and beverage items in Accordance with all Food Handling and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

»Daily cleaning of all areas of the kitchen in accordance with the home schedules and specifications, using appropriate equipment, chemicals and work methods.

»To ensure Documentation duties and procedures are maintained for efficiency and accuracy i.e. temperature of food and equipment.

»Ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned in the appropriate manner, Report any maintenance problems to the Manager as soon as any problems occur, keeping an accurate record.
