DAN Y COED, SWANSEA

A NEW SPECIALIST SCHOOL AND RESIDENTIAL SERVICE IN SWANSEA
This year Orbis have been busy developing a brand new state-of-the-art school and residential service for children and young people with complex needs associated with autism. The service is located at the historic Dan y Coed site in the West Cross area of Swansea, within a minute’s walk of the long stretches of sand that are typical of the region.
Within minutes of Swansea with its vibrant city centre, and castles, parks and hidden coastal coves and secluded bays there is a wealth of things to do in the surrounding area.

WHEN WILL DAN Y COED OPEN?

Dan y Coed will open as a school in November 2017, offering a limited number of day placements in the first instance.
From February 2018 a newly designed permanent school will be fully opened in the main house offering specialist education placements to more children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19 with complex needs.
From September 2018 Dan y Coed will open up its residential service, at which point it will offer full or part time, day and residential, education and care placements for either term-time only or up to 52-weeks per year.
For further information about Dan y Coed or to be kept up to date with developments, please contact Referrals Coordinator Colin Howarth on colin.howarth@orbis-group.co.uk. Otherwise, you can call on 02920 029922.
